This will be our 5th annual Christmas Eve celebration, so I’d like to make it special. In addition to turkey, I’m considering. . . well, I’m considering. Join us for good food, good people, and good fun. I’ll keep you updated as plans progress.

“The modern mind is in complete disarray. Knowledge has stretched itself to the point where neither the world nor our intelligence can find any foot-hold. It is a fact that we are suffering from nihilism.” (Albert Camus)
You certainly have a more interesting life than most of us here! Like to have a chat with you sometime as i would like to start my building project in Hua Hin (Prak Nam Pran) but am held back because of cost of electric connection.
Hello Geoff, great to hear from you. Getting connected to the grid can be really expensive, even in Laos. The village where I’m doing my project has power, but I’d have to pull it a good 300 meters. That can cost upwards of 100,000 baht to have it done right. I’m hoping to produce 5 or 6kW for half that cost. If I can convince them to buy some of it back, I’ll see if I can get them to do the power line installation, then I’ll have backup power for free. Nice to dream, isn’t it. If you’re in Hua Hin, I guess we won’t be seeing you for Christmas Eve. . .
